Job Summary/Objective
The Driver will operate multi-passenger vans and be responsible for the courteous, safe and efficient transportation of students in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities
- Transports passengers over required route, obeying all traffic laws and observing all safety regulations
- Assists passengers with boarding and de-boarding the vehicle, when needed
- Actively communicates and coordinates with management
- Maintains proper documentation and submits documentation to appropriate staff when routes are complete
- Keeps the van clean and presentable, including removing trash and following sanitation protocols
- Delivers van to designated automotive shop for preventative maintenance
- Reports maintenance malfunctions to appropriate staff
- Parks and secures van in designated location
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- Valid CDL or Class E driver's license required
- 2+ years of professional driving experience (preferred)
- Clean driving record
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certified (can be obtained post hire)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Must pass DOT physical exam
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- Must be at least 25 years of age based on insurance policy guidelines
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
