Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Site Patrol in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a public school location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school district procedures, reporting unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with site personnel, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
