Job Description

As a Security Guard Full Time Unarmed Field Patrol in Detroit, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment through professionalism, integrity, and teamwork while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, public areas, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity in accordance with site procedures; report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and communicating with supervisors and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate activity, incident, and patrol reports, and maintain professional communication with site representatives, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
