Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guard in Portage la Prairie, MB.

Position Details

Job Title: Security Guard

Location: Portage la Prairie, MB

Job Type: Casual

Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Schedule: Various Shifts; Monday through Sunday

Overview :

Allied Universal is seeking experienced Security guard to oversee security operations at our Canadian site in Portage la Prairie.

Key Responsibilities

• Access control for the facility/area
• Present a polished, professional, customer-friendly image at all times
• Ensure that the facility’s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to fire alarms and other site Emergencies
• Undertake site-specific training, follow direction and guidance from Site Supervisor or Manager
• Demonstrate good judgment, common sense and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents
• Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Operate/monitor security room equipment; completion of site-required training
• Vehicle Gate and Console duties

Qualifications

• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring.
• Experience with report writing and note-taking.
• Knowledge of CCTV monitoring systems.
• Valid MB security guard license.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada over 30 hours per week.
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Must be proficient using computer
• Must currently reside in Portage la Prairie
