Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening in Carol Stream, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening people and/or materials, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and help deter incidents through a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and personnel by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, packages, and items entering designated areas using approved screening equipment and procedures; report prohibited items, irregularities, and policy violations to appropriate site contacts.
• Verify identification, credentials, and delivery-related documentation for authorized access in accordance with established post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, loading zones, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
