Job Description

As a Security Officer - Afternoon Shift in Spokane, WA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming, secure environment by screening visitors and employees, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and help maintain a professional presence. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen personnel, visitors, packages, deliveries, and/or equipment entering the location in accordance with established procedures, documenting and escalating irregularities to site leadership.
• Operate screening equipment and monitor access points while maintaining a professional, calm, and problem-solving demeanor.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
