As an Armed Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while responding to security-related needs. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate hospital personnel and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor, patient, and staff access in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, patrol activity, and other security-related observations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 2+ years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
