Job Description

As a Security Officer Front Desk Clearance Required Full Time in Charlottesville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a secure environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a technology-focused front desk by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with established procedures.
• Monitor access points, visitor activity, alarms, and communications systems, reporting unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, emergency notifications, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site-specific response protocols.
• Support the reception area by answering incoming calls, providing directions, and communicating professionally with employees, guests, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
