As a Security Officer supporting a government district, you will monitor and patrol public areas by bicycle, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will engage with visitors, provide exceptional customer service, communicate observations, and support a welcoming environment. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. Pay Rate: $20.80 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to downtown visitors, businesses, stakeholders, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Serve as a visible ambassador in designated public areas, offering directions, information, and assistance while helping to deter unwanted activity.
• Respond to incidents, public concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned streetscapes, public spaces, business areas, and perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Document observations, incidents, and interactions in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Ability to ride a bike is required.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
