Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Screening Operations in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Screener in a healthcare location, you will help create a welcoming, controlled environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Your visible presence, communication skills, and commitment to integrity will help deter incidents while supporting patients, visitors, and staff. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following site-specific screening procedures, facility policies, and emergency response protocols.
• Screen individuals entering designated healthcare areas in accordance with established health screening requirements, directing those who require additional assistance to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, screening concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Maintain accurate screening-related logs and report unusual activity, policy violations, and incidents to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry points, adjacent areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and support a secure healthcare environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess an Armed Guard Card/License.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Baton certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
