Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Customer Service in Piscataway, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Security Officer at a premier luxury retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while contributing to a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and retail associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, stock areas, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and observe activity to help deter unauthorized access, theft, and other policy violations.
• Report incidents, suspicious activity, and maintenance concerns according to site procedures and Allied Universal reporting requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
