Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Radio Reporting in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for individuals, visitors, and staff. You will respond to security-related concerns, communicate professionally, and deliver exceptional customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, staff, visitors, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Communicate observations and concerns promptly to site leadership, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
