Job Description
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Panel Monitoring in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and support access control and alarm response activities. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
- Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor authorization in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders as directed by site procedures.
- Help to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence, professional communication, and timely reporting of observed policy violations or maintenance concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
