Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Visitor Screening in Groveport, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will help support a welcoming environment by screening visitors, monitoring access points, and responding to security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with employees and guests, and maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access screening protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries entering the technology, media, and telecommunications location in accordance with established site policies.
• Operate screening equipment and conduct visual inspections of bags, packages, and personal items as directed, documenting and escalating prohibited or suspicious items.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated access points, screening areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
