Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Credentialing in Lockport, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter security-related incidents while supporting a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access control systems and verify credentials, visitor registrations, and authorization requirements for entry to designated areas.
• Manage visitor, contractor, and delivery access in accordance with site procedures, including issuing and collecting access badges or credentials.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, lobby areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
