Job Description

As a Security Officer Lobby Access in Stratford, CT, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Front Desk Officer at an aerospace and defense location, you will help maintain a welcoming, controlled environment by managing visitor access, supporting badge processes, monitoring entry activity, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will represent Allied Universal’s caring, reliable culture through clear communication, teamwork, integrity, and a professional presence that helps deter security-related incidents.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or vendors by following site-specific security-related procedures and front-desk policies at an aerospace and defense location.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access and visitor records.
• Monitor entry activity, manage incoming calls and deliveries, and direct individuals to appropriate contacts or designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Communicate observations, access concerns, and unusual activity to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts in accordance with post instructions.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
