Job Description

As a Security Officer Mobile Response Driver in Wayne, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of school buildings, classrooms, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior.
• Respond to incidents, medical situations, alarms, and critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
