As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a public transportation ferry location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of ferry terminals, docks, waiting areas, access points, and surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential hazards.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, medical situations, service disruptions, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner while following site-specific procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
