Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Driver in Grand Rapids, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an unarmed Patrol Officer, you will conduct routine patrols throughout the assigned location, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, tenant concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and activities according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property, common areas, parking facilities, building entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe pedestrian and vehicle activity; report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with directions, visitor inquiries, and communication with property management, law enforcement, and emergency responders as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
