Job Description

As a Security Officer Security Clearance Communications in CAPE CANAVERAL, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a critical aerospace and defense location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. You will use strong communication and customer service skills while working collaboratively with site personnel. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense business location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business location, perimeter, access points, and restricted areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor and report unusual activity, facility conditions, and potential security-related concerns in accordance with site procedures.
• Assist with visitor, employee, and vendor access processes while maintaining accurate activity logs and communicating with appropriate site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an active DoD TS-SCI clearance.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
