Job Duties and Preferred Qualifications:

  • Performs routine inspections of all persons and packages entering the Courts building; provides the public with necessary information, directions or other forms of assistance.
  • Remains alert to potential incidents in public hallways, notifies supervisors or deputies when necessary.
  • Additional duties may include the pick-up and delivery of mail, typing correspondence, comparing and verifying dockets, or working in security control monitoring cameras, answering phones, coordinate with jurisdictions and facilities in order to facilitate the transportation of inmates to and from the Virginia Beach Sheriff’s Office.

This position is Part-Time and is scheduled to work 16 to 28 hours per week (maximum 28 hours) with varied hours between 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
