Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Security Supervisor in Whitby, Ontario. Job Title: Security SupervisorLocation: Whitby, ONType: Full TimePay Rate: $18.50 - 19.50 per hour Shifts: Monday - Friday

Shift Timing: 0800-1700

Overview:We are currently seeking experienced and qualified Security Supervisor to join our team in a dynamic environment. As a Security Supervisor you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the safety of personnel, property, and assets through patrols, monitoring, and incident response. This position offers a dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and advancement.RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Supervise daily security operations and act as primary liaison between client and management, ensuring compliance with all procedures and post orders.- Lead, coach, and support security staff, including scheduling, training, and on-the-floor guidance.- Enforce access control protocols, including screening staff, contractors, and visitors.- Conduct and oversee patrols to identify risks, hazards, and suspicious activity.- Monitor CCTV, alarm systems, and access control systems to detect and address security concerns.- Respond to incidents and emergencies, providing direction to staff and coordinating with emergency services as needed.- Assess situations, make real-time decisions, and implement effective risk mitigation strategies.- Deter theft and loss through proactive supervision and enforcement of security procedures.- Complete detailed incident reports and ensure accurate documentation and log maintenance.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Must have a valid Ontario Security License.- Must be at least 18 years old.

- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience. - Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.- Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. - First Aid and CPR.- 1-2 years of experience working in security.

- 3+ years experience as a Security Supervisor, managing miniumum 10 employees- Preferably ex-military or loss preventation to high-theft locations- Previous experience in logistics environments and/or operating metal detectors preferred.- Experience in critical environments where decision making, and actions can impact life-safety and business continuity. - Excellent administrative and computer skills are a must, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and security management software. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
