The Opportunity:

  • We’re on the lookout for a Senior AI Engineer to join our dynamic ITS- AI team and lead the design and delivery of transformative AI solutions. If you're passionate about building intelligent systems that are scalable, secure, and drive firm value — this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

    • Day To Day You Will:

  • Leverage AI tooling like Copilot to accelerate delivery, while critically reviewing and hardening the infrastructure, pipelines, and code it produces.
  • Lead AI implementations end-to-end, delivering to established technical direction and standards for how AI-assisted work is reviewed, secured, and shipped.
  • Identify where AI can genuinely improve business workflows, and deliver solutions that automate and streamline them with measurable impact.
  • Design and secure AI solutions with strong data protection and access controls.
  • Own AI services in production, building the monitoring, guardrails, and evaluation that keep AI dependable and measurable.

    • About You:

  • Strong proficiency in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript, fluent enough to read, reason about, and verify code deeply, including what AI generates.
  • Proven experience building and running production systems end-to-end, with hands-on CI/CD, cloud, and security foundations that let you direct and validate AI-generated work, not just produce it.
  • Strong cloud and AI engineering fundamentals, especially Azure, deploying and operating hosted model services (e.g. Azure AI Foundry / Azure OpenAI) reliably and cost-effectively.
  • Keeps code maintainable and well-tested, whether hand-written or AI-generated, so a growing codebase stays safe to build on.
  • Hands-on experience testing and evaluating AI systems, including agent behaviour, tool use, and multi-step trajectories, to measure quality and catch regressions before release.
  • Familiarity with designing agentic workflows and orchestrating tool-using agents, and the trade-offs across RAG and retrieval approaches.
  • A versatile, pragmatic engineer who moves easily across the stack and enjoys taking on unfamiliar problems.
