Senior Auditor or Senior Tax Manager

One opening. Two possible career paths. Dana F. Cole & Company, LLP is looking for an experienced accounting professional to join our Grand Island office. We’ll hire either a Senior Auditor or a Senior Tax Manager, based on the strengths of the person we select.

If your strength is audit

As our Senior Auditor, you’ll lead small and medium-sized engagements from planning through financial statement delivery. You’ll perform, review, and supervise audits, reviews, and compilations; prepare basic financial statements; coach staff; and help clients strengthen their processes and controls. Our audit clients include nonprofit organizations and governmental units. This path also includes some tax work and travel.

What you’ll bring

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting and at least five years of audit experience
• An active CPA license or a clear path to licensure within one year
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and GAAS
• Experience supervising staff and managing engagement deadlines
• Clear communication, sound judgment, and proficiency in Excel and Word

If your strength is tax

As our Senior Tax Manager, you’ll own a client portfolio, oversee multiple engagements, guide staff, and help clients navigate complex tax and financial questions. You’ll build relationships that extend well beyond a single filing season. Farm tax experience is welcome, but it isn’t required.

What you’ll bring

• An active CPA license
• Experience managing client relationships and multiple engagements
• Strong supervisory, project management, research, and analytical skills
• The ability to explain complex matters clearly to clients
