Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer

Blauwtrust Groep (BTG) defines the group-wide strategy, goals, and framework that guide our subsidiary companies. We provide centralized support across multiple domains, including software development, system integration, SDLC (Software Development Lifecycle), and infrastructure management.

To strengthen our growing operations in Tunis, we are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our international infrastructure team. You will work closely with the Head of Infrastructure, Architect, and Platform Product Owner, all based in the Netherlands.

Your Role

As a Senior Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and management of our Azure Cloud environment. You’ll actively contribute to the migration of our existing Private Cloud and On-Premise systems to Azure, ensuring security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with internal teams, Microsoft experts, and external partners on architectural and technical discussions.

• Analyzing the existing Private Cloud setups across all operating companies, including VM configurations, resource consumption, and infrastructure dependencies.

• Designing and implementing a detailed migration plan to Azure for each application, aligned with CISO and security recommendations.

• Deploying servers and necessary resources in Azure while considering technical, security, and cost constraints.

• Setting up tools and dashboards to monitor project progress, cloud resource usage, and budget consumption.

• Ensuring the stability, performance, and security of the Azure environment through daily monitoring and proactive maintenance.

Requirements

Mandatory Technical Skills and Experience:

• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proven hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools and practices to automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management.

• Azure Expertise: Broad knowledge and practical, hands-on experience across a wide range of Microsoft Azure services and resource types, beyond specific Azure resources. The candidate must be able to design, deploy, configure, and manage Azure infrastructure and services.

You have:

• A degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience managing operating systems (Windows/Linux).

• Hands-on experience in public cloud environments, Microsoft Azure.

• Proven participation in migrating from On-Premise or Private Cloud environments to Azure.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• A team-oriented mindset and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
