Senior Azure Workload Automation Engineer (.Net)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Azure Workload Automation Engineer (.Net) based in India.

This remote role focuses on modernizing critical enterprise workload automation and batch processing environments through Azure-native solutions. You will design, develop, migrate, and operate scalable scheduling and orchestration frameworks that replace legacy platforms and on-premises processes. The position combines strong .NET/C# development expertise with cloud engineering, automation, integration, and production troubleshooting. You will work across Azure Batch, Functions, Logic Apps, Data Factory, Service Bus, Storage Accounts, and Azure Monitor. Your work will help transform recurring business processes into resilient, maintainable, event-driven cloud solutions. • Assess, modernize, and migrate legacy batch jobs and enterprise scheduler workloads, including Control-M, to Azure.
• Design and implement cloud-native workload automation frameworks using Azure Batch, Functions, Logic Apps, and Azure Data Factory.
• Develop reusable scheduling, orchestration, and automation patterns for daily, weekly, monthly, and annual business processes.
• Modernize file-based integrations and batch processing workflows to improve scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Develop and maintain automation and integration solutions using .NET and C#.
• Build and support integrations involving FTP/SFTP, APIs, file processing, and third-party systems.
• Work with Azure Service Bus, Storage Accounts, Azure Monitor, and related Azure services to deliver reliable workload automation.
• Troubleshoot batch jobs, integrations, and production issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.
• Implement Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation best practices.
• Support the consolidation and modernization of workload scheduling platforms where appropriate.

Requirements:

• 5–10 years of relevant experience in software development, workload automation, cloud engineering, or related technical roles.
• Strong hands-on .NET/C# development experience, with the ability to design and maintain production-grade solutions.
• Practical experience with Azure workload automation and services such as Azure Batch, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Azure Data Factory, Service Bus, Storage Accounts, and Azure Monitor.
• Experience with Control-M or other enterprise scheduling platforms and legacy batch-job modernization.
• Strong understanding of FTP/SFTP, APIs, file processing, batch operations, and third-party system integrations.
• Experience with event-driven architectures and cloud-native integration patterns.
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and production support skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Experience implementing Azure DevOps, CI/CD, and automated deployment practices.
• Ability to design reusable, scalable, resilient, and maintainable automation frameworks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to operational reliability and technical quality.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed technical teams.
