Senior Business Analyst: Maas

As a Senior Business Analyst at ATA-IT, you'll drive requirements analysis for an agile team. You'll work closely with the stakeholders and delivery team to turn business needs into clear, actionable requirements, and ensure solutions are aligned with business objectives, user needs, and organizational priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements elicitation and analysis, ensuring dependencies and impacts are identified and addressed across business and technical teams.
• Partner with business stakeholders to refine and prioritize the backlog, providing analysis, insights, and technical constraints to support decisions.
• Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and delivery teams, managing expectations and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and data mapping documents.
• Write clear and testable acceptance criteria, ensuring shared understanding across business, development, and QA teams.
• Facilitate backlog refinement sessions to ensure the team has a clear understanding of upcoming requirements before sprint planning.
• Monitor and report on delivery progress, proactively identifying risks, blockers, and scope changes, and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with designers, solution architects, and technical leads to validate that proposed solutions meet business needs.
• Mentor and support other junior team members, providing guidance on requirements practices, documentation, and stakeholder communication.
• Continuously improve team processes and BA practices to increase delivery quality and efficiency.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 7+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role.
• Proven experience partnering with Product Owners on backlog refinement and prioritization, working closely with business and technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess cross-functional impacts and drive informed decisions.
• Ability to interpret and work with data to support analysis, validate requirements, and communicate insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with web application development processes, including understanding of front-end, back-end, and API concepts.

Nice to have:

• Experience with backlog management and Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
• Basic SQL skills or experience querying data to support analysis and validation.
• Experience in the financial services or banking industry.
• Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies within a delivery team.
