TITLE: Senior Business Development Specialist
LOCATION: Luxembourg
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Business Development Specialist will play a key role in driving growth across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. You will identify and secure new business opportunities, cultivate strong customer relationships, and generate revenue across ispace’s suite of lunar services and products. This role combines strategy, negotiation, and storytelling to drive meaningful business growth. You will also represent ispace Europe at international events, helping expand our presence in the new era of lunar exploration.
The position will be based in Luxembourg, on-site and will report to the EU Business Director. It will closely collaborate with ispace EUROPE’s other Business Team members as well as business teams in ispace’s Japan and US offices and technical teams across ispace globally.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create and drive opportunities for ispace through proactive engagement to seed or advance leads and relationships with prospective customers, or other key actors in the space sector or adjacent relevant sectors.
  • Manage revenue-generating opportunities through the full business development pipeline, from proactive lead generation through to signed sales agreements.
  • Develop market segment strategies to realise revenue for ispace across lunar services and products in the EMEA region, in collaboration with the EU Business Director
  • Develop and implement tactical action plans to implement market sector strategies and achieve sales/revenue targets.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with ispace partners and customers, proactively investigating and identifying new opportunities to increase ispace revenue or advance ispace’s interests.
  • Proposal/bid management, including facilitating win strategy and value proposition development and managing content contribution from across ispace business and technical teams.
  • Lead proposal/tender content writing and editing to produce succinct, winning submissions.
  • Lead contract negotiations to achieve ispace business objectives in sales and collaboration agreements, in partnership with ispace legal advisers.
  • Represent ispace at conferences and events, including presenting ispace plans and achievements to audiences.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration by mentoring and supporting other members of the business team.
  • KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in international business, Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Space Management or Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in business development, including market segment strategy development; experience in sales of technical products or services is an advantage.
  • Proven track record of converting leads to successful contracts.
  • Strong contract negotiation skills and experience managing proposals and complex tender submissions.
  • Experience in space or aerospace business development and sales.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and networking skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and contribute effectively as a team member.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages such as French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Japanese are a plus.
