Senior Buyer

About the job:

Ensure timely, cost-efficient, and quality sourcing of all goods and services for the operations of Dixstone Netherlands Main duties will include daily liaison with the offshore rigs and project managers, reception of needs from internal clients, the preparation of RFQs, analysis and selection of suppliers, negotiation and preparation of POs and follow-up of procurement until delivery takes place.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Purchasing

• Liaise with offshore-located material coordinators, discipline engineers, and project management, on all related procurement topics.

• Prepare requests for quotation documents in accordance with the relevant specifications, including all technical, commercial, and quality requirements.

• Drafting, evaluating, negotiating, and executing various POs covering a range of transactions at a local and international level.

• Creation of Contracts and Purchase Orders in the ERP System.

• Creating and maintaining relationships with suppliers and internal customers.

• Stock availability verification

• Maintaining correspondence and documentation related to procurement and contracts.

• Communicating and presenting information to management

• Provide guidance/information & answers to technical & non-technical questions regarding the procurement process.

• Monitor the PO/Contract after-delivery process to grant on-time Supplier payments.

• Ensure suppliers evaluation is made as per Company policy, and follow up on QA/QC issues.

• Ensure the Suppliers' Pre-Qualification is done as per Company policy

• Provide Suppliers feedback and help Vendor Management process on Suppliers' evaluation and

• follow up.

• Manage Claims with Suppliers and keep track on Vendors feedback.

Technical

• Understanding of Offshore, Marine & Oil & Gas equipment, services, customers and providers. Experience with offshore rig contractors is a plus.

• Understanding of European marine/offshore suppliers and market.

• Understanding of the Tender process.

• Understanding and experience in modes of transport in international markets (Incoterms2020).

• Able to effectively write internal and external communications, proposals, and reports.

• Knowledge of ERP systems and standard working software

Skills & Qualifications

• Min. MBO/HBO in a technical field, or equivalent in Work Experience.

• 3 to 5+ years’ experience in procurement and contracts industry / Offshore / Marine with a taste for technical subjects.

• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
