Briefing

In this role, you join a three‑person Cloud Engineering team that owns deployments and self‑service environments for the Savings & Investments part of Ohpen’s core‑banking platform. Most of the work is driven directly by the team: designing AWS architecture, standardizing Terraform modules and building the tooling that gives developers safe, self‑service access to infrastructure.

Your day‑to‑day focuses on making the platform reliable, secure and easy to operate - automating everything from environment provisioning to deployments, tightening monitoring and observability and resolving complex incidents across infrastructure and networking.

As part of a four‑person on‑call rotation, you help triage alerts and fix production issues — and then use what you’ve learned to lead modernization efforts from legacy setups to cloud‑native designs, improve platform security and influence architectural decisions that directly impact reliability, performance and cost.

About You

• You have several years of hands‑on experience with cloud technologies, including designing and operating AWS‑based architectures in production.
• You are fluent in Terraform and infrastructure‑as‑code, and comfortable working across networking, Windows/Linux systems and CI/CD pipelines.
• You script confidently in Python, Bash or PowerShell and use automation, monitoring and observability tooling to keep complex distributed systems healthy.
• You understand cloud security principles and IAM, and know how to build secure, compliant setups for regulated or security‑focused environments.
