Senior Computational Chemist
AI Summary
Develops computational models for predicting receptor binding and biological responses to botanical compounds, builds in-silico validation pipelines, and collaborates with formulation and analytical teams to validate predictions.
About this role
Department: R&D
Location: Israel
Reports to: VP of R&D
Position Type: Full-time
The Role: Eybna is building Model Torii, a computational model for predicting how botanical compounds interact with human biology. We're looking for a Senior Computational Chemist to help build the in-silico layer of BNA™, our aromachology platform. You'll work on receptor modeling, molecular interaction prediction, and the computational validation pipeline that connects raw compound data to formulation-ready predictions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine computational models for predicting receptor binding, synergy effects, and biological response to botanical compounds.
- Build and maintain the in-silico validation pipeline that feeds BNA™ platform predictions, working across the known / predicted / hypothesised data layers.
- Collaborate with Formulation and Analytical teams to validate computational predictions against bench and analytical results.
- Contribute to the research and documentation behind Model Torii's measurement layers and validation tests.
- Stay current on computational chemistry, cheminformatics, and molecular modeling methods relevant to receptor and synergy prediction.
- Support the technical rigor behind scientific content and white papers describing the platform's methodology.
Requirements:
- PhD or MSc in computational chemistry, cheminformatics or a related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in computational/molecular modeling, ideally including receptor-ligand or QSAR modeling.
- Strong programming skills (Python preferred) for building and running computational pipelines.
- Experience with molecular modeling and cheminformatics tools (e.g., RDKit, Schrödinger, or similar).
- Comfortable working at the intersection of computational prediction and wet-lab validation.
- Strong written communication skills for documenting methodology and collaborating cross-functionally.
