We are seeking a Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end data lifecycle—from raw market data capture through to normalized datasets used by both trading and research.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON:
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines for capturing and processing raw data.
- Ingest, catalog, and manage a variety of data sources, including market data, execution data, reference data, and more.
- Model and normalize complex financial datasets to ensure they are clean, consistent, and easily accessible for research and production.
- Ensure all datasets are well managed and governed within our global data lake.
- Collaborate closely with traders, researchers, and engineers across multiple global offices to understand evolving data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Implement rigorous data-quality checks, monitoring, and alerting to guarantee reliability and consistency.
- Contribute to the architecture and scaling of our global data platform to support ever-growing data-intensive strategies.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role in a high-performance environment, preferably within financial services.
- Proficiency with Python, C++ is a big plus
- Experience with market data & exchange protocol is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of data capturing, data modeling, and normalization.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing distributed data pipelines.
- Experience with lakehouse architectures (e.g., Delta Lake, Databricks) is preferred.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals, especially around performance, reliability, and scalability in distributed systems.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
