Senior Electrical Engineer

We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Auckland Building Services team.

Our projects span hospitals, aged care facilities, residential, retail, commercial and industrial buildings. You’ll bring the experience to lead electrical design, make sound technical decisions and work closely with other disciplines to deliver practical solutions for our clients.

About the Role

You’ll take technical ownership of electrical building services design across multiple projects, from early concepts and design development through to documentation and construction. You’ll set the design direction, review work and help resolve challenges as they arise.

Working with our wider Buildings team, you’ll use 3D design and clash detection tools to coordinate services and develop integrated designs. You’ll balance technical quality, programme and cost while maintaining strong relationships with clients and project teams.

The role also includes construction monitoring and travel to project sites around New Zealand when required. You’ll share your expertise across the team and help maintain the quality of our electrical engineering work.

We’re keen to hear from engineers with:

• An Electrical Engineering degree recognised under the Washington Accord, or equivalent
• 10+ years’ post-graduate experience in electrical building services, preferably within a consultancy
• A strong track record of leading electrical design and delivering projects to a high technical standard
• Experience with 3D design tools (Revit) and coordinating services across disciplines
• Sound judgement when balancing design quality, project deadlines and cost
• Confidence working directly with clients and resolving technical issues with project teams
• The ability to manage priorities across several projects
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative, practical approach
• Chartered status, or a willingness to work towards it

Experience with healthcare or hospital projects including ELV services would be advantageous.
