(Senior) Embedded Software Engineer

Alif established its first European R&D site to Oulu to be a significant center of expertise and employ teams of Software and Digital IC Design experts, to complement the staff in the US and India. As our Finnish site grows, we are looking for a (Senior) Embedded Software Engineer to our Wireless Connectivity Team, working on 15.4, Mesh and BLE development.

Specializing as a wireless engineer, you will work at a variety of levels: All the way from configuring RF to building Zephyr OS applications. The role centers on integrating and maintaining the ROM code split between 2 cores separating controller and host stack for BLE, and 802.15.4 controller and application. You will optimize the low-power scenarios to ensure very long lifetime of embedded devices by reducing battery consumption.

This is a permanent, full-time position for an engineer capable of independent planning, organizing, and executing their own work. The role does not require prior experience in a lead or managerial position but does require a strong sense of ownership and accountability.

The role will be built around the experience you have, but here’s some requirements that we feel may be beneficial for you to have:

* Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

* Skilled in Embedded Software

* Experience in Low-level Embedded Software

* Proficiency in C

* Proficiency in Arm/Risc-V; familiarity with Verilog/SystemVerilog is a strong plus

* Experience with low-power design techniques

* Experience with wireless protocols and techniques
