Senior Full Stack Engineer
AI Summary
Designs, builds and maintains scalable, secure full-stack web applications, including APIs, integrations and database schemas, while leading architecture decisions and mentoring other engineers.
About this role
At Levno, we’re building technology that helps our customers make better decisions, save time and run more connected businesses. As we grow, we’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Auckland-based team and help shape the future of our platform.
You’ll report to our Engineering Lead and work across the full stack to design, build and maintain software that is scalable, secure and reliable. You’ll have a real say in technical decisions and architectural direction, and you’ll work closely with Product, Design and QA to turn customer and business needs into solutions that work well. If you like pragmatic decisions, technically challenging problems and helping other engineers grow, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing
- Designing, building and maintaining end-to-end web applications, writing clean, scalable and well-tested code across the stack
- Developing APIs, services and integrations with external systems, and designing efficient database schemas and queries (SQL and NoSQL)
- Improving application performance, reliability and security
- Leading architectural discussions, reviewing code and contributing to our long-term technical strategy
- Mentoring junior and intermediate developers and helping lift capability across the team
- Investigating and resolving complex issues across the stack, and finding better tools, processes and ways of working
- Contributing to CI/CD and automation, deploying to the cloud, and setting up monitoring, logging and alerting
What you’ll bring
- Advanced front end and back end skills, with experience building and maintaining complex distributed systems
- The ability to design scalable, secure and efficient application architecture
- Experience deploying, monitoring and optimising applications in a cloud environment such as Azure, AWS or GCP, ideally with hands-on CI/CD and infrastructure tooling
- A strong grasp of data modelling, database performance, API design and integration patterns
- A commitment to robust, maintainable code backed by automated testing
- A knack for diagnosing tricky problems, finding the root cause and fixing it properly
- Experience mentoring other engineers, and good judgement under pressure
If you don’t tick every box, we’d still like to hear from you.
