Senior Fullstack Engineer

At Paystand, we're seeking a talented Sr. Full-Stack Engineer to play a key role in architecting and implementing user-facing components of our cutting-edge Systems. As a member of our dynamic team, you'll collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and fellow engineers to craft web applications that redefine user interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the architecture and implementation of user-facing parts of Paystand’s systems.
• Design and develop reusable libraries and frameworks that support complex web applications.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to other engineers.
• Collaborate with product owners, designers, other engineers, and customer success teams to build the best user experience, ensuring high standards of quality and performance.
• Drive technical innovation and improvements across the development team.
• Ensure best practices in code quality, security, and performance.
• Participate in and influence all phases of the development lifecycle, including system analysis, design, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
• Advocate for and implement continuous improvement in the development processes and practices.

Requirements and qualifications:

Experience: Minimum of 8 years building web, mobile-web, or hybrid mobile applications, demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility and independence.

Technical Skills:

• Strong Computer Science and Software Engineering background.
• Proven experience in architecting and building highly scalable RESTful web services and APIs.
• Advanced expertise in Node.js & Express.js.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6 and higher).
• In-depth knowledge of front-end frameworks such as Angular.js (1-4), React, Vue.js, etc.
• Experience with preprocessor stylesheet languages like Sass & Less.
• Strong understanding of software design patterns and principles.
• Experience with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Bonus Skills:

• Expertise in HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS3.
• Knowledge of other web libraries and frameworks (e.g., Polymer, React, etc.).
• Deep understanding of front-end performance optimization strategies (e.g., Caching, CDNs, concatenation, minification, sprites, SVGs, fonts, etc.).
• Proficiency in event-driven service architectures.
• Experience with message queueing technologies (e.g., RabbitMQ, SQS, Kafka).
• Familiarity with front-end build environments (e.g., Grunt, Gulp, etc.).
• Ownership of one or more digital currencies.
• Deployment of one or more Bitcoin, Ethereum, or other crypto network nodes.
• Contribution to open-source projects or active involvement in the tech community.
