MARINE HVAC DESIGN & KNUD E. HANSEN is looking for Senior Heating Ventilation Air Condition (HVAC) engineers with deep knowledge in design and rules to join the company in Spain. The successful candidate(s) will be part of a dynamic team working on every step of the design from the concept design to the installation and commissioning.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• BSc and/or MSc degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related technical field.

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar HVAC engineering role.

• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French will be considered an advantage.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong knowledge of the marine and offshore industry, including relevant business practices and regulations.

• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment with rapidly changing priorities and multiple concurrent deadlines.

• Self-motivated, with the ability to anticipate, identify, and take action on potential issues and problems.

• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

• Able to work independently while maintaining the high standards of MARINE HVAC DESIGN and KNUD E. HANSEN.

• High level of accountability, integrity, and professional ethics.

• Competence in HVAC design software applications.

• Willingness to travel as required to support clients, suppliers, or field activities.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team providing technical leadership to the HVAC engineering group. The following outlines the job description:

• Develop HVAC concept, basic, and detailed design documentation.

• Prepare HVAC system specifications.

• Perform heat load, noise, and pressure drop calculations.

• Produce HVAC D&IDs, P&IDs, and one-line diagrams.

• Perform chiller plant calculations.

• Read, interpret, and comply with customer specifications and requirements.

• Select appropriate HVAC equipment and technical solutions.

• Communicate effectively with customers and project stakeholders.
