We are seeking a Senior Integration Developer for one of our PRIME CONTRACTS and offers exciting opportunities to support essential services and mission critical activities across the enterprise. This position offers a hybrid work schedule with up to 1 day of telework per week! Our mission supports the Government Corporate Management Services (CMS) by providing full life cycle support services through the sustainment, modernization, and transformation of the enterprise corporate applications. These applications are used across the government enterprise and are critical to the daily functions of thousands of users across acquisition, business, finance, HR, training, recruitment, program management, security, logistics and more. Join a dynamic and forward-thinking team as a Senior Integration Developer, where you will play a key role in designing, developing, testing, and deploying innovative cross-domain and integration solutions supporting a mission-critical system. While the role supports the Pega platform, the primary focus will be on implementing cross-domain solutions to securely move and integrate data between environments, as well as developing and supporting microservices-based architectures and integrations.

Pega is a leading enterprise application platform used by major government agencies and Fortune 500 organizations to build workflow-driven applications, automate complex business processes, and modernize legacy systems. Developers on this team work with a combination of visual application design, software engineering principles, API integrations, cloud technologies, and enterprise architecture patterns to rapidly deliver mission-critical solutions.

This position offers the opportunity to work across multiple technologies and collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and Government stakeholders to modernize and enhance enterprise capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy cross-domain solutions to securely transfer and integrate data between environments
  • Develop and maintain microservices and APIs to support scalable system integrations and enterprise workflows
  • Support and enhance the Pega platform, including integrations, workflows, and service modernization efforts
  • Collaborate with internal teams, architects, and Government stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical solutions
  • Assist in configuring, integrating, and modernizing enterprise services to align with evolving mission and business needs
  • Provide architectural guidance for secure data movement between environments while ensuring compliance with security and governance requirements.
  • Partner with platform engineering teams to design, configure, and deploy Pega applications into new hosting environments.
  • Participate in system integration activities, troubleshooting, and performance optimization across multiple environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues, providing technical support to internal teams and end-users as needed
  • Contribute to software upgrades, bug fixes, code enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve overall system functionality and reliability
  • Participate in testing activities, including unit testing, integration testing, and quality assurance efforts to ensure reliable and high-quality deliverables
  • Work within an Agile development environment, proactively contributing to team success, technical innovation, and continuous process improvement
  • Collaborate closely with developers, systems engineers, and infrastructure teams to support secure and efficient cross-domain data flows and enterprise integrations

Required Qualifications:

  • An active security clearance with polygraph.
  • Twelve (12) years of experience in software development/engineering  
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or related discipline. Four (4) years of additional software development experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. 
  • Experience developing and supporting RESTful APIs and microservices architectures
  • Experience integrating enterprise applications and services across multiple environments
  • Familiarity with secure data transfer, system integrations, and cross-domain solution concepts
  • Experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, etc.
  • Experience working with cloud-based or hybrid environments, preferably Amazon Web Services technologies and services
  • Demonstrated experience leading software development initiatives, mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving technical implementation efforts.
  • Understanding of data transformation, data validation, message routing, and integration security patterns.
  • Experience working with security architects and accreditation teams to support secure system integrations.
  • Ability to analyze customer requirements, identify system improvements, and effectively troubleshoot issues to enhance application performance and user experience. 
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts, risks, and dependencies clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide timely and effective support, ensuring high levels of satisfaction. 
  • Must be able to work during core hours of Monday-Friday 10am-2pm. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing, configuring, and integrating COTS software solutions within enterprise environments
  • Experience with integrating PEGA applications with third-party systems using APIs, middleware, and other integration technologies
  • Familiarity with Agile project management practices, including Scrum or Kanban, to effectively collaborate in a fast-paced development environment
  • Experience architecting and supporting enterprise workflow solutions, including process automation, orchestration, and business process optimization initiatives.
  • Experience deploying enterprise applications to Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Experience containerizing applications using Docker and implementing CI/CD deployment pipelines.
  • Experience developing strategies for data movement across security boundaries while maintaining compliance with enterprise security requirements.
  • Experience implementing authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, JWT, and PKI-based solutions.

The estimated salary range for this position is between $200,000-$265,000 (annualized USD). This range reflects the typical pay for the role and is one part of the company's comprehensive compensation package. Actual salaries are influenced by several factors, such as location, the individual’s education, skills, experience, and competencies, as well as contract affordability and organizational needs.
