Wilson Sonsini is looking for a Senior Paralegal for our Litigation group to reside in our Salt Lake City, Utah office. This role will support attorneys in all aspects of litigation, with a focus on complex civil and corporate litigation matters.
This position is available as a hybrid work schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with gathering and compiling support documents for filings
- Assist attorneys with preparing and filing pleadings and other court documents in various jurisdictions across state and federal courts, including appellate courts
- Assist with Bluebook formatting, cite-checking, and shepardizing case law
- Familiarity with civil procedures and local, state and federal court rules
- Ability to perform docket and legal research in Lexis, Westlaw, SEC, PACER, and similar resources
- Assist with the collection, review, production, and organization of discovery materials
- Proficiency with eDiscovery platforms (e.g., Relativity), and ability to supervise vendor work
- Manage discovery responses, subpoenas, and deposition preparation
- Prepare and maintain various indices and logs for case teams related to discovery and other chronologies
- Manage case calendars and deadlines (as a supplement to the calendar department)
- Assist with hearing/trial preparation and logistics, including preparation of witness files, management of exhibits, setting up trial space, and attending trial in-person, as required
- Interacting with clients, expert witnesses, consultants, opposing counsel and court clerks
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal is required
- A college degree and/or paralegal certificate is required
- Stellar project management and organizational skills
- Great attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Good judgment, intuition and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable and dependable

- Professional and composed under pressure and in fast-paced environments
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with attorneys and staff across all levels and offices

The compensation for this position may include overtime and a discretionary year-end merit bonus based on performance. We offer a highly competitive salary and benefits package.
