Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute risk-based audits across capital project activities.
- Review governance, processes, and control environments related to development such as design and delivery functions.
- Review cost-related practices and financial controls within capital projects.
- Evaluate alignment with approved policies, procedures, and governance requirements.
- Identify key risks and translate them into clear audit observations and recommendations.
- Engage with relevant stakeholders to support audit execution and follow-up.
- Contribute to the enhancement of audit methodologies, tools, and practices.
- Support audit planning, risk assessment, and continuous improvement activities.
- Assist with capability building and knowledge sharing within Internal Audit.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Governance, Project Management, or related field.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CIA, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant audit experience, in capital projects, consulting, or advisory roles. preferably within large-scale development or construction projects.
- knowledge of Commercial Governance & Procurement Assurance (Cost Planning, Tender Evaluation, Contract management, Claims)
- A strong understanding of project governance, delivery, and cost management is required, with professional certifications such as PMP or PMI-RMP preferred, along with strong analytical and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing audit teams.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, complex project environment.
