Senior manager for academic and student affairs, School of Sciences and Humanities (Grade 14)

School of Sciences and Humanities

1) Academic advising and registration for academic disciplines of students enrolled in undergraduate programs; conducting an audit of academic disciplines; recommending students for an additional semester; scientific and research activities of students;
2)    Coordination of undergraduate students of 5-6 courses with the expected graduation status, tracking progress and compliance with graduation requirements, regular reporting on the status of students, organization of approval of forms for postponement of studies;
3) Development, organization and conduct of Orientation Week for incoming students for undergraduate programs;
4) Coordination of class scheduling of the courses offered by the School;
5)    Provision of work on preparation, signing, registration and issuance of agreement on provision of educational services with students enrolled in undergraduate programs;
6)  Participation in the recruitment campaign to attract potential students to undergraduate programs;
7) Development, recruitment, training, and coordination of the Peer Advising of the School; 
8)  Conducting and monitoring activities for the evaluation of academic disciplines to provide feedback to students in order to improve the quality of educational services through the Qualtrics electronic system;
9) Coordination of the student dismissal processes of the School;
10)    Providing recommendations and suggestions to improve the quality of the educational process, planning and analysis of academic issues in the academic programs of the School, if necessary;
11)    Providing consulting and informational support to academic staff, applicants and students on issues related to the academic process, its quality standards, curricula, norms and regulations of the School.
 

Qualifications

Education     

Higher professional education, preferably in higher educational institutions with English language of instruction;

Priority areas of specialties:
- management;
- economics;
- finance;
- education management;
- public administration;
- business administration;
- pedagogy;
- linguistics;
- related specialties in the field of humanities.

Work experience    

With a undergraduate / Specialist - at least five years;
Minimum three years with master`s degree in the relevant area.

Knowledge
- Knowledge of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of education;
- knowledge of MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint programs.
