Senior Materials Librarian

Material Evaluation & Curation

• Assess all proposed materials for inclusion in the physical library,validatingthat eachrepresentsa unique and justifiable addition based on design, function, or innovation.

• Collaborate with design, development, and sourcing teams to understand material intent and application.

• Support the Manager, MaterialsLibrary in executing regular library purges toeliminateduplicates and outdated materials.

Metadata Validation & System Integration

• Review and validate metadata for all approved materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with VF’s taxonomy and classification standards.

• Ensuretimelyandaccurateintegration of material data into PLM and other digital systems to support downstream processes.

• Partner with digital library and governance teams tomaintainalignment between physical and digital material records.

Governance & Quality Assurance

• Uphold and enforce material governance standards to ensure the libraryremainsa high-quality, curated resource.

• Identifyand resolve discrepancies in material records across physical and digital platforms.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of material evaluation criteriaand metadata protocols.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Act as a subject matter expert for material properties, construction, and sourcing across the organization.

• Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on material selection, uniqueness criteria, and library usage.
