Senior Media Producer - Production & Post Production (Temporary to Staff)

The Media Producer leads the planning and execution of impactful multimedia content, focusing on linear media, including live-action production, motion design/CG, post-production, and audio. The role collaborates with teams across a diverse range of multidisciplinary projects, providing media project management and oversight for budgets and schedules while maintaining design excellence. The Media Producer also partners with Creative Directors to support the creative vision and leads the media team on projects. Candidates whose experience spans concept design, production, motion design, visual effects, and post-production are a strong match for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Managing projects of various scales and types, with a focus on motion design pipelines (2D and 3D design and animation). Program types range from web and mobile to interactive installations and large-scale exhibition motion graphics and media programs.
• Planning and building production workflow schedules from concept development through delivery and install.
• Coordinating collaboration across multidisciplinary teams — Visual Experience Design (Graphic Production), Physical Design (Architecture and Exhibit Design), Content (Research, Strategy, and Writing), and Software (Custom Interactive Development and Production) — often alongside a Project Director/Manager and/or Coordinator.
• Producing media projects with in-house teams.
• Vetting vendor partners as needed, and negotiating and managing those relationships and their work product.
• Maintaining accurate, highly detailed budgets.
• Utilizing project resources efficiently, proactively communicating to manage or avoid change orders and timeline extensions.
• Suggesting and/or managing vendor and freelance artist holds and bookings, in coordination with LP HR.
• Managing resources and ensuring strong communication between teams and all support departments.
• Anticipating issues and proactively communicating them to supervisors or department heads.
• Answering clients' technical questions directly, or liaising with creative or technical staff to provide requested information.
• Monitoring project demands on creative artists and ensuring they have sufficient support and resources.
• Advising clients and other stakeholders on design development, process, shooting requirements and post-production techniques.
• Monitoring and ensuring the most effective use of the company's technical, creative, and other resources to deliver successful project outcomes.

Requirements

• Ability to travel within the US and globally for project installations, client meetings, new business pitches, etc.
• Must be able to work on-site in our NYC Studio - Hybrid
• Primary residence is in one of these states: NY/NJ/CT/DC/VA/MD
• Eligible to work in the United States

Education/Experience:

• 5-7+ years of professional experience, or an outstanding demonstration of experience as a media motion/post producer.
• Experience project managing live action production, motion design, 3D or animation, visual effects, and post-production.
• Experienced in structuring and leading working sessions and presentations.
• Understanding of and experience producing design systems for digital and built environments.

Bonus Points:

• Experience with project organization software: 10,000ft, Smartsheet, Airtable, and Keynote.
• Experience with or understanding of customizable interactive software and Unity workflows is a plus.

Hourly Rate

$75 - $100 per hour commensurate with experience.
