Senior Okta Consultant - Location: UK ideally or Europe - Remote

The Role

We're looking for a Senior Okta Consultant with deep, hands-on expertise in Okta Identity Cloud. This role is ideally UK-based, though we'll also consider strong candidates based elsewhere in our European markets. You'll lead complex client engagements end-to-end, design and implement enterprise-scale IAM solutions, mentor junior consultants, and act as a senior trusted advisor bridging technical delivery and business strategy.

Location: UK preferred, Europe considered. Fully remote, with the flexibility to attend team meet-ups and client visits when requested.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, configuration, and deployment of enterprise-scale IAM solutions using Okta (Customer & Workforce Identity Cloud).
• Act as a senior trusted advisor to clients, shaping IAM strategy and aligning Okta capabilities with business goals.
• Own client relationships end-to-end, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level consultants across engagements.
• Lead agile delivery processes and ticketing workflows, ensuring high-quality, on-time solution delivery.
• Lead IAM maturity assessments and develop strategic improvement roadmaps.
• Deliver senior-level client training, workshops, and thought leadership.
• Design and deliver identity governance solutions using Okta Identity Governance (OIG), including access requests, access certifications and entitlement management.
• Architect integrations between Okta and third-party IdPs, enterprise applications, and customer portals (B2B/B2C).

Skills & Experience

• 5+ years implementing IAM solutions, with deep, hands-on Okta experience leading complex engagements.
• Expert in Okta features: SSO, Adaptive MFA, API Access Management, Lifecycle Management, Universal Directory.
• Strong command of authentication protocols (OIDC, OAuth 2.0, SAML) and federation patterns.
• Extensive experience with Okta Identity Engine, Hooks, Workflows, SCIM provisioning, and automation via API or Terraform.
• Experience with Okta Identity Governance (OIG) is highly desirable.
• Experience mentoring and developing junior consultants or engineers is a plus.
• Familiarity with other IAM tools (e.g., SailPoint, CyberArk) is a plus.
• Track record of leading client/customer engagements and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
• Excellent communication, consulting, and presentation skills.
• Fluent English

Certifications

Okta Certified Professional and Consultant required (if expired, prepared to renew). Okta Certified Developer desirable.
