ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking aSeniorOptical SystemsEngineerto join ourSYLUXdevelopmentteam,workbased inGoletaCalifornia.TheSeniorOpticalSystems Engineercandidatewillcontribute tothe development ofoptical basedADAScameras, includingthermalinfrared, foradvanceddriverassistancesystems.

Major responsibilities:

Developoptical system requirements, support customer RFQ responses, contribute to the development ofnew optics suppliers, improve calibrationand simplify image signal processing techniques.Verify product performance goals are met through analysis and hands-on testing of hardware.Apply problem solving techniques to resolve issues arising duringdevelopment and production. Contribute to development and application of new lower cost optics technologies to reduce cost.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum10+ yearsexperiencedevelopingoptical systems for automotive and/or equivalent high quality camera systems, including optical designs, lens componentdesign specifications, sourcingand testing.

• MS/Ph.D. in Optics, Physics and/or Systems Engineering.

• Expertisewith optical design tools.

• High volume camera manufacturing experience, including validation, PPAP, safe-launch and 8D troubleshooting processes.

• Familiarity with alternate optics technologiesfor reduced cost, e.g., metalenses andmulti-level diffractive optics.
