Overview of the Role
The Senior Paraplanner plays a critical role in supporting financial advisers by providing advanced paraplanning services, ensuring high quality and compliant financial planning documentation. The Senior Paraplanner delivers detailed analysis, research, and preparation of financial strategies and client reports to assist in effective client engagement and decision making.
Main duties include:
- Conduct comprehensive fact-finding and input client data accurately into financial planning software.
- Develop complex financial models and scenarios to evaluate various strategies.
- Ensure all financial strategies comply with current legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed Statements of Advice (SoA) and related documentation in accordance with licensee and adviser specifications.
- Create Executive Summaries and other compliance documents supporting the SoA.
- Review adviser-prepared materials and provide constructive feedback to ensure completeness and compliance of client files.
- Mentor and guide junior paraplanners to uphold quality standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a Paraplanner in a financial services environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial products, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Advanced Diploma or certification related to financial planning or paraplanning.
- Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., XPLAN) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
