Requirements

About the Role

We are looking for a sharp, empathetic, and highly proactive Senior People & Culture Assistant to join the Hosting.com team in Bali.

Let’s be clear upfront: this is not a paper-pushing, purely administrative role. You will be acting as the right-hand to the People & Culture Manager, taking on the administrative heavy lifting to help build, maintain, and protect a thriving people ecosystem. We need someone with sufficient experience and capability who can grow into a P&C Advisor role over time as the business scales.

Since we already have a dedicated Talent Acquisition team, your core focus will be on what happens after an employee joins: how they integrate, how they perform, how they engage, and how we support our physical workspace. We need someone who understands modern workforce dynamics (yes, you need to "get" Gen Z), knows the labor laws inside out, and isn't afraid to handle the tough conversations.

What You’ll Do:

  • Employee Relations & Performance: You will take a hands-on approach to managing team dynamics. This includes handling Performance Improvement Plans (PIP), executing disciplinary actions, and mediating conflicts with fairness and firmness.
  • Measurable Culture & Engagement: Go beyond just ordering pizza for the team. Design and execute engagement initiatives that actually tie back to employee satisfaction, growth, and retention. You'll also organize our monthly town halls and sharing sessions.
  • Performance Cycle Support: Actively contribute to our performance management cycles (including our April Annual Reviews and September mid-year/exceptional reviews) by ensuring managers and employees are aligned on objectives and evaluations.
  • HR Operations & Payroll Coordination: Handle onboarding administration and track contract extensions seamlessly. You will also be the main point of contact for our external Payroll Consultant, ensuring all schedules, attendance, and employee data are accurate and ready for processing.
  • General Affairs Management: Oversee the daily physical environment of our Bali office. This includes supervising our facility teams (Security and Housekeeping/OB), managing their schedules, and ensuring a safe, productive workspace.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 3+ years of progressive HR/People Operations /HRBP experience. You must live in Bali, as this role requires your physical presence in our Kuta office to manage daily team dynamics and operations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is an absolute must to communicate effectively with our diverse team and global management.
  • Solid understanding of Indonesian employment regulations and compliance. You know the rules and how to apply them practically.
  • You are highly accustomed to navigating, motivating, and setting clear professional boundaries within a predominantly Gen Z workforce.
  • You have real experience handling PIPs, issuing warning letters, and managing sensitive employee relations issues without losing your cool.
  • You don't just guess how the team is feeling; you can analyze basic HR metrics (turnover, engagement index) to provide actionable insights.
  • Previous experience handling General Affairs (building maintenance, security, OB supervision) is a massive plus.
