Senior QA Automation Engineer (HELOC)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer (HELOC) based in United States.

This role offers the opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of quality engineering for innovative financial products.
You will design and deliver automated and functional testing strategies that support reliable, seamless customer experiences.
Working closely with product and engineering teams, you will contribute to application specifications and architectural decisions from a quality perspective.
The position combines test automation, performance testing, AI-assisted workflows, infrastructure, and production troubleshooting.
You will help accelerate development by enabling engineers to validate features through scalable automation and intelligent testing tools.
The role provides broad technical exposure across modern cloud-native technologies, microservices, CI/CD, and observability.
This is a fully remote position for candidates based in the United States, within a fast-paced Agile environment.

• Develop and maintain test automation alongside feature development using AI tools and functional and performance testing frameworks.
• Use LLMs to create feature test plans and internal knowledge resources that improve automation and deep-testing workflows.
• Design custom AI workflows that enable developers to run existing automated tests, evaluate failures, and troubleshoot environment issues.
• Execute functional and performance testing in disposable environments, deploying microservices with different versions and configurations and customizing database content.
• Configure, patch, and deploy services, infrastructure, and code changes across environments through production.
• Analyze application logs and investigate production issues by reproducing problems in non-production environments.
• Partner with QA platform teams to develop scalable solutions for feature validation and test automation.
• Participate in application specification reviews and architectural design sessions, providing quality-focused input and defining appropriate testing strategies.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience developing test automation in Java using Selenium and/or Playwright.
• Experience working with IDEs such as IntelliJ or Eclipse, both independently and with coding assistants.
• Experience deploying services across environments, particularly Kubernetes, using tools such as ArgoCD and Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Docker, Playwright, and headless browser execution, with the ability to improve existing test infrastructure and efficiency.
• Familiarity with log aggregation and observability tools such as SumoLogic, Kibana, Honeycomb, or Grafana.
• Understanding of functional and performance testing for modern applications and microservices.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills, including the ability to investigate failures and reproduce production issues.
• Passion for test automation, software quality, and delivering reliable features at a fast pace.
• Comfortable working within Agile methodologies and collaborating effectively with product, engineering, and QA teams.
