You’ll join the Power Operations team at JSM Group Services Ltd, delivering high-value electrical infrastructure for hyperscale data centre operators and major industrial and grid clients across the UK, Europe and beyond. You’ll report to a Managing Quantity Surveyor and work closely with project managers who drive complex programmes from award to energisation.

As Senior QS, you’ll own the commercial performance of multiple contracts, managing risk, driving value and making sure commercial and project goals stay aligned.

What you’ll do

• Lead tendering and bid submissions, covering pricing, terms and conditions and commercial assessments.

• Own monthly valuations, applications for payment, variations, cost reports and CVRs across multiple high-value contracts.

• Build strong subcontractor relationships, negotiating rates, assessing applications and agreeing variations.

• Spot commercial risk early and act before it becomes an issue, working with delivery teams to keep commercial and project goals aligned.

• Mentor junior QSs and help build a positive, high-performing team culture.

Essential

• Proven QS experience on high-budget projects in the power, utilities or civils sectors

• Proficient in NEC3/NEC4 contracts within infrastructure or civil project environments

• Able to produce detailed financial forecasts and manage cash flow effectively

• Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline

• Full UK driving licence and the right to work in the UK

Nice to have

• Chartered or incorporated status, or working towards it

• Professional accreditation such as RICS, ICES or CIOB
