About this role
We are looking for a Robotics Software Engineer to develop the software that enables multiple autonomous robots to operate efficiently, safely, and reliably in logistics and industrial environments.
The primary focus of this role is Fleet Management System (FMS), robot orchestration, task management, fleet coordination, and traffic management, with additional involvement in navigation and path planning.
The ideal candidate combines strong C++/ROS2 software engineering skills with a solid understanding of autonomous mobile robotics and real-world robot deployment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Fleet Management System (FMS) software for autonomous mobile robots.
Develop task allocation, dispatching, scheduling, robot coordination, and fleet monitoring.
Implement fleet-level traffic management, resource reservation, deadlock detection, and recovery.
Develop interfaces between the FMS and individual robot autonomy stacks.
Develop and integrate navigation and path-planning capabilities, including route planning, obstacle avoidance, and navigation behaviors.
Integrate FMS, navigation, localization, perception, control, and robot hardware into a complete autonomous system.
Develop and maintain ROS/ROS2-based robotics software and system interfaces.
Integrate third-party robotics software and technologies.
Diagnose complex fleet-level and robot-level failures using logs, telemetry, simulation, and real-robot testing.
Improve system reliability, scalability, performance, and fault tolerance for production deployment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
3+ years of experience developing software for robotics, autonomous systems, or mobile robots.
Strong C++ and Linux/Ubuntu development skills.
Strong hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2.
Solid understanding of mobile robot navigation and autonomous systems.
Experience with AMRs, AGVs, AGFs, autonomous vehicles, or similar robotic systems.
Understanding of fleet management, multi-robot coordination, task planning, or traffic management.
Good understanding of path planning, route planning, obstacle avoidance, and navigation.
Strong system integration and debugging skills.
Experience deploying and debugging software on real robots.
Good English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in one or more of the following is a plus:
Fleet Management Systems / multi-robot coordination
Task allocation, scheduling, dispatching, or fleet optimization
Traffic management, resource reservation, and deadlock handling
Nav2 / ROS2 Navigation Stack
Global/local path planning and motion planning
LiDAR or camera-based perception
Robot/system orchestration and behavior planning
Low-level vehicle control
Gazebo, Isaac Sim, or other robotics simulation platforms
Production deployment of autonomous robots in logistics or industrial environments
What We Are Looking For
A strong robotics software engineer with depth in fleet management and breadth across autonomous robotics.
You should be able to understand how fleet decisions affect individual robot behavior, and how navigation, localization, perception, and control affect fleet-level performance.
For example, when a robot becomes blocked, the candidate should be able to reason across task assignment, traffic management, route planning, localization, perception, and robot execution to identify the appropriate solution.
